Shapers that show in the mirror, not through your clothes: why we made them

Nuvel was born out of the same old frustration: the shaper that rolls up by mid-afternoon, the one that itches, the one that shows under your dress on exactly the day you need it most. Before selling a single garment, we tried the fast-fashion ones ourselves and wrote down everything that failed, so we wouldn't repeat it.

We bought several, the cheap ones and the expensive ones, and wore them for entire days: to work, to dinner, to a wedding. We noted what time each one rolled up, where it showed, and how long it lasted before bothering us. With that list in hand, we looked for a manufacturer that could meet every point, and we didn't launch anything until a garment passed that same full-day test.

We weren't looking for a miracle shaper. We were looking for one that did what it promised: doesn't roll up, doesn't show, and lasts a full day worn.

That's where our product decisions come from: laser-cut edges so they don't show under clothes, progressive compression instead of squeezing everything equally, an inner band so it doesn't ride up, and a size chart in centimeters so you know exactly which one to order.

Today we sell directly, with no store in between, and we answer every WhatsApp message ourselves. No magic promises: if a garment hadn't convinced us in person, we wouldn't launch it.
