We tested different patterns and band heights for months until we found the combination that works on real bodies, not mannequins.

We use a guide based on your waist and hip measurements, not your usual clothing size (which varies a lot by brand). On the product page you'll find the full chart in centimeters. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one: Nuvel compresses without squeezing, so it never rides up.

No. The edges are laser-cut, with no raised seam and no fabric step. They're so thin they disappear under silk, crepe or any fitted fabric. It was the first requirement of the pattern: that a woman could put on a fitted dress without having to check it doesn't show before heading out.

The girdle has an opening where it's needed, designed so you can use the bathroom without undressing and putting it back on. That said, we always recommend checking it's sitting right when you're done.

No limit. The fabric is designed to keep its structure and compression after many washes. We recommend hand washing or a delicate cycle at 30°C, no spin, and air drying. Following this, the girdle keeps its shape.

Yes. We use progressive compression: layered, from softer to firmer, instead of squeezing everything equally and creating the classic bulge at the back and hips. The result is a smooth finish, not a roll marked at the fabric's edge.

The microfiber breathes and doesn't trap heat like girdles made from cheap synthetic fabrics. You can wear it in summer, even at 30°C at a wedding, without ending up drenched. That said, it's still a compression garment, not a dress.
